Medication Pricing
Let us start by making one thing very clear - hormones and peptides are BOOMING. Where there is a boom, there are opportunists willing to sacrifice your health for their profit. Many well known chains order their peptides and their testosterone from shell "pharmacies" with suspicious/non transparent practices - and may be acquiring their products from places like China.
"What's the big deal if it works the same?"
The biggest issue here is that health issues can take a long time to show up. If there is an impurity in your medications it may take many years to develop cancer or liver issues. By then the company has made their hundreds of millions and disappeared.
Just like the supplement market - any "new" brand/company should be a red flag. Unfortunately - "new" also means "not a lot to lose".
Legit, Longstanding Pharmacies:
Strive, Empower, Escatto (formerly red mountain), Olympia and others.

Lab Pricing
The cost of labs varies widely depending on the needs of each patient. We intentionally do not offer try to sell plans that come with "an initial workup" because the cost of that workup is COMPLETELY different depending on the person, their complaint, their recent labs and their insurance coverage.
The cost of labs in our practice will also vary depending on membership level as we operate on a "cost plus" basis. We show our patients the cost of labs and show the markup per their membership.
Before markup, the cost of basic labs like those you would get with a basic annual physical - CBC, CMP, Lipid panel, CRP, TSH with reflex to T4, A1c, and urinalysis with microalbumin is around $75.
Before markup, the cost of more expanded labs (the above plus) that add vitamin D, ferritin and iron studies, testosterone, folate, B12, estradiol, insulin level, cortisol, DHEAS, SHBG, magnesium, PSA (men), free T4, free T3, APO-B, LpA, prolactin etc. is around $350.
For patients who have insurance and want to have medically necessary labs submitted to the lab through their insurance - we are happy to do that. We make no guarantees regarding insurance coverage and there are records fees (for copper and lifestyle members) if the insurance requires proof of medical necessity from our office.
