Integrative Medicine

What is integrative medicine?

  • Integrative medicine providers view things differently.

    • We look to treat and correct root causes whenever possible.

    • We believe that guidelines are less effective and less safe than individualized patient care

    • We view you feeling poorly as abnormal, even if labs and testing are normal.

    • We think outside the box for solutions.

    • We educate extensively - if lifestyle factors can be contributing to an issue.

    • We believe that being proactive is better than being reactive.

    • Heavy emphasis on patient autonomy

  • Most of the common "woo woo" stuff we hear about is also considered integrative, such as:

    • Peptides

    • Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT)

    • Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT)

    • PRP Injections - Face, breasts, joints, penis and clitoral/vaginal area (yes, I said what I said).

    • Male Sexual Dysfunction / Erectile Dysfunction

    • Female Sexual DysfunctionInflammation management

    • Supplement recommendations/dosing

    • Micronutrient testing

    • Heavy metal / toxin testing

    • Parasite testing

    • Full body MRI screening orders

    • Microbiome testing

    • Telomere testing

    • Herbal therapies

    • IV Vitamin Infusions

  • Less "woo woo", but still integrative (moreso functional, the two are technically different):

    • Diet

    • Exercise

    • Sleep

    • Stress

    • Relationships

    • Mindfulness

    • Pharmacogenomic Testing for drug metabolism and/or genetic disorders

    • PRP infections for joints, wound healing and pain

  • And of course, estheitics:

    • Neuromodulators (Botox, Dysport)

    • Fillers (Juvederm, Restylane)

    • Sculptra

How is Performance Health Different?

Integrative medicine is a combination of regular medicine, lifestyle and alternative therapies like herbal supplements. â€‹

Unlike most integrative medicine providers:

  • we do not profit from supplements sent to you via FullScript (we have opted out of this).

  • We do not profit from labs except for our "in house blood draw fee".

  • We do not recommend ongoing infusions or supplements unless absolutely neccessary.

  • We discuss actual benefit from testing, and don't order if there is no benefit.

  • We do not routinely dispense medications from our office. We send most RXs to a compounding pharmacy.

  • We put profit over patients.

The result? Affordable and easy integrative healthcare.

A full wellness lab panel with hormones, vitamin levels, basic labs, etc is under $300 cash pay.
Semaglutide prescription is under $200/month.

Testosterone as low as $30/month.

At Performance Health we are VERY honest about what we think will work or not work given your situation, and we focus on DOING LESS - not more. Everything has a downside, it is important to us to find the middle ground between benefit and cost/time/side effects.

Our goal is to get you feeling good on as little daily medications/supplements as possible and give you the tools to keep yourself well.
